Outfitting one of the world's largest canvases. Making a big splash for the launch of the Huawei P30 Pro

While at Huawei, my team I lit up the largest screen in the world, on the world's tallest building - the Burj Khalifa. Here you'll see film documentation of our launch for the flagship Huawei Mate 20 RS, and later our film for the reveal of the Huawei P30 Pro.

These animations composite content from a number of sources - studio shot footage, motion graphics animation, 3D modeling, global assets, a little stock footage, and a custom soundtrack.

Truth be told, the Burj Khalifa is a tough canvas. The building is confoundingly vertical and its extremities converge to a point at its spire. There is no screen. The final "image" is composed from a series of parallel bands. Despite these limitations and a short, 2-week turnaround, my team produced a giant advertising film that remains a benchmark for brands presenting work on the Guinness-winning skyscraper.
